About Claudia Hung
Claudia Hung is a Toronto-based creative entrepreneur, photographer, and brand strategist with over 20 years of experience building ventures at the intersection of aesthetics, innovation, and execution.
She is the Founder and Creative Director of Portraits On White, Toronto’s leading black and white portrait experience. What began as a refined solo endeavour in event photography has evolved into a productized service and full-service agency with a team of 15+ photographers, serving both luxury weddings and high-end corporate events. The business now exceeds $350K in annual revenue, built from the ground up with an unwavering focus on premium service, visual excellence, and brand integrity. Claudia has led the evolution of the business by standardizing operations, developing repeatable systems, and building an agency model designed to scale without compromising quality.
Her photography work has taken her around the world, with commissions in Japan, Italy, Boston, Miami, and Hong Kong. She’s been featured in Toronto Life, Fashion, and Women’s Health, and has built long-term creative relationships with respected brands including TikTok, MLSE, Dior, MAC, Square One, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Beyond the lens, Claudia has spent over a decade mentoring and developing some of Toronto’s most sought-after photographers. She also privately coaches dozens of international photographers who are launching and integrating new verticals into their businesses by adapting the Portraits On White model. Earlier in her career, she was the co-founder of an 8,000 sq ft CrossFit gym in the GTA, which she exited successfully, and a partner in QBooth, a SaaS startup where she led UX and marketing. Each venture sharpened her ability to move between creative leadership and strategic scale while always staying grounded in the user experience.
Claudia’s entrepreneurial edge is rooted in bootstrapping, community building, and creative problem solving. She’s deeply committed to personal growth and is an active member of Dan Martell’s coaching community and the Toronto chapter of Founders Club. A classic INTJ with ambivert tendencies, she’s a DISC Red with a touch of Blue — driven, analytical, and deeply intentional. Fun fact: she’s also partially ambidextrous, a fitting reflection of her ability to balance left-brain logic with right-brain creativity.
Outside of work, Claudia lives on a country road in Ajax with her firefighter husband, twin boys, and Labradoodle Moose. She spends her warm months backcountry camping with family and friends, is a strong advocate for animal welfare, and is highly physically active. She often channels her ambition, drive, and need to take action into physical movement—whether through training or simply staying in motion.
She’s open to new collaborations, investment opportunities, and ventures that align with her passion for building meaningful, design-led businesses.
